Cancer Research UK’s health and patient information aim to provide information that is:
- understandable
- comprehensive
- accurate
- up to date
We cover all aspects of cancer including treatments and support services in the UK.
We have developed a style guide based on the principles of plain English. We aim to make our information understandable to people with low levels of literacy or poor health literacy, and who have a reading age of 9 to 11 years.
Researching and writing
We follow robust processes to decide which information to write about, and to plan and structure our content.
