I think it's important to acknowledge the risk is low, especially if you say that you get anxious about it. Mindfulness is a great tool that helps you focus on the present, instead of your worries.

Keep using the cream and if your symptoms persist, you should get back to your GP.

Hi, I'm 19 and have the exact symptoms you have described. The first symptom I noticed was a red patch at the top of the left breast (not sore or itchy either) and a smaller patch near the nipple. My Areola has also definitely changed as it looks and feels very puffy. I have also convinced myself I have IBC by searching on google. Do you have any update on your diagnosis?? Tegan X

Sorry to hear you're in the same situation, it's so scary :(. I'll start off by saying that doctors still don't think I have IBC! Basically after I used the eczema cream for a month I went to the breast clinic who examined me (but didn't do any tests) and said I should use an antifungal for 5 weeks, which I did but nothing changed... so I went back today! I got completely dismissed, the doctor barely examined me and said to use the antifungal for a bit longer/try using a different laundry detergent etc.

I'm really upset about it tbh, I've had it for more than 3 months now and they're still refusing to do tests (I really wanted a skin biopsy), probably just because of my age.

Please do keep me updated with your situation, maybe one of us will manage to get an accurate diagnosis!

I think I may have Inflammatory Breast Cancer. No lumps just very sudden breast pain after tenderness in both breasts but have been referred to breast clinic. I havent a rash but understand how you feel.I am waiting for an appoinment but the waiting is the worst time. Go back to your doctor and explain how anxious you are and say that you would like a referral to reassure yourself. If she is a good doctor she will listen and refer you immediately. Mental health issues are really at the fore and waiting a month for cream to work or not is too much to ask. Be firm but assertive about your feelings. Good Luck to you.

Breast pain on its own isn't usually cancer is it? But it's good you're getting it checked. 

My mum rang them this afternoon and they just gave more reassurance saying it doesn't look at all like IBC. She's said I can ring again in 2 weeks if the cream doesn't work but apparently skin infections can be very persistent. I'll just try to distract myself I guess.

Completely understand how you feel! It's so frustrating isn't it

A couple of days ago I called the clinic to find out roughly how long it would take to be seen and they said that due to it being a non-urgent referral, it probably won't be for another few weeks. I really don't think I could of waited weeks to be checked out, so I called my GP and asked to be referred privately and now have an appointment next week! I too am hoping that they do a skin biopsy, as I feel like my mind won't be put at rest until they do! Hope your doing ok, Tegan Xx

Hi hope everyone is doing well I haven't used one of these before 

I've been to the doctors today about two brown mole crusty patch on nipple and he is referring to dermatology to see if anything sinister and I am freaking out and over thinking big time especially after googling. I had a baby 9 weeks ago and it wasn't there during pregnancy. Not breastfeeding. Does anyone know the next step or when I could expect to go, I stupidly didn't ask in the moment?  Has anyone had something similar, any help or advice or comments would be greatly appreciated
