Retinoblastoma is a rare type of eye cancer. It most commonly affects children under the age of 5. One or both eyes can be affected.

Retinoblastoma is a rare type of eye cancer. It starts in the retina, the inner layer in the back of the eye. 

Treating retinoblastoma

Children with retinoblastoma are treated at a specialist centre for treatment. Treatments include freezing the cancer (cryotherapy), laser therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
