About the project

Cancer Research UK works with policy makers, the health service, and the science sector to drive change, improve cancer outcomes, and help life-saving science and research to thrive.

We want to understand how we can more effectively influence and work with these groups to make positive change and improve cancer outcomes.

This project will help us understand how we should better collaborate and work with our partners and bring your vital voice to make sure everything we do supports people affected by cancer.

About the workshop

We’d like you to take part in an online group discussion about how Cancer Research UK currently works with policy makers, the health service and the sciences sector. This will include sharing your views of our impact on these partners, as well as ideas about how we might work differently in future to increase our impact. During the workshop, we’ll bring ideas to test with you and ask you some questions to gather your views and feedback.

Please note: This workshop will not include discussion of how we can better work with our Campaigns Ambassadors, as there are other channels for those discussions.

Who can take part

We want to hear from people who have experience and understanding of the campaigning and influencing work Cancer Research UK does with government and policy makers, the National Health Service (NHS), other charities and charity coalitions, and the sciences sector.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from:

  • Our Campaigns Ambassadors who have worked with us to influence one or more of the groups above (and/or those with experience in similar roles with other charities or charity coalitions)
  • People with lived experience of cancer, with experience of working with us to influence health services in the UK / NHS.
