How do I sign up to donate monthly via my mobile phone bill?
As of 26th September 2022, we stopped accepting new sign-ups for monthly giving via your mobile phone bill. If you would like to set up a new monthly donation to Cancer Research UK then please consider setting up a direct debit online, here. It’s another easy way to donate to Cancer Research UK to help bring about a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
If you already donate to us monthly via your mobile phone bill, then thank you for your ongoing support.
How is my monthly donation taken from my account?
Each month your phone bill will be charged with the £3, £5 or £10 donation you chose to make to us. For Pay As You Go contracts this will be taken off your available credit. This will show as an extra line on your phone bill each month. Cancer Research UK receives 100% of each £3, £5 or £10 donation made to us.
How do I skip my next donation?
Each month we will send you a text before we take your donation. You can choose to skip your donation by simply replying SKIP meaning you won’t donate that month.
How do I stop my donation?
If you want to stop your monthly donation, please text STOP at any time to:
-70002 to cancel your £3 donation
-70088 to cancel your £5 donation
-70440 to cancel your £10 donation
A STOP message will incur a standard rate message cost from your network provider.
We will remind you of the option to stop your donation each month in your receipt message.
Alternatively, you can email mobilise@cancer.org.uk to inform us of your instruction.
How do I make a change to my donation amount?
We are no longer accepting changes to amounts donated to us monthly via mobile phone bills. If you would like to change your regular donation to us, you can cancel your mobile phone bill donation and set up a direct debit instead, online here.

Can I switch my donation to a direct debit?
If you would like to switch your donation to a direct debit, simply text STOP to 70002 to cancel your current £3 monthly donation, STOP to 70088 to cancel your £5 donation or STOP to 70440 to cancel your £10 donation. Alternatively, you can email mobilise@cancer.org.uk to inform us of your instruction.
You can then start donating via direct debit by entering your details here.
How will my donations be spent?
The vast majority of this money is spent on our life-saving research to help beat cancer. A smaller amount is spent on our information and policy work, and we also invest some money into future fundraising to make sure we can plan our research into the future. You can find out more about this here.
