As well as hosting our own events and conferences, our research funding, strategy and partnerships teams attend and exhibit at a range of conferences, meetings and workshops throughout the year.
We find this invaluable in meeting researchers and potential partner organisations to discuss opportunities to work with us. ECMC network meeting 2025
Date: 7 May 2025
Location: Hilton London Bankside
The theme of the meeting is meaningful collaboration to drive equitable innovation in clinical trials. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the successes of the ECMC network and explore how to address some of the challenges within the early phase clinical trials landscape.
The day will feature a mix of presentations, case studies and panel discussions. The afternoon will include parallel sessions, allowing attendees to choose a preferred topic for an in-depth discussion about key challenges.

Learn the basics: Primer on Cancer Prevention
Date: 24 June 2025
Location: London
Ahead of this year's Cancer Prevention Research Conference, the Cancer Research UK City of London Centre will be hosting a one-day Primer on Cancer Prevention.
The Primer is focused on accelerated learning opportunities across key facets of cancer prevention research and considers cancer prevention from the perspectives of laboratory scientists, clinician scientists, behavioural scientists and epidemiologists. The Primer will enable trainees and other newcomers to cancer prevention to fully benefit from the newest developments in cancer prevention science that will be presented at the main conference.
Attendees from academia, the public sector and industry are all welcome to join.

The Cancer Prevention Conference

Our conference aims to share insights from across the research continuum, from discovery biology through to population and implementation sciences.
The event will bring together a multidisciplinary cancer prevention research community and spark new collaborations to enable advances in future cancer prevention approaches.

Cancer Research Horizons Innovation & Entrepreneurship Awards 2025

Location: Merchant Taylors’ Hall, London
Hosted by our innovation arm, Cancer Research Horizons, the Awards celebrate researchers transforming ground-breaking discoveries into patient benefit. The Awards spotlight exceptional talent and ambition, inspiring a new generation of innovators to tackle cancer with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Nominations are now open. Researchers can nominate themselves or a peer for multiple categories spanning the entire entrepreneurial journey – from early-career innovators to established entrepreneurs and frontier technologies.

Data-driven Cancer Research Conference
Date: 24-26 February 2026
Location: Edinburgh International Conference Centre
Since our last meeting in 2024, the complexity and volume of data has only grown. We’re expanding the conference to run over three days, giving us the chance to dive deeper into AI, quantum-enabled technologies, patient and public involvement and engagement and the application of cancer research data to personalise treatment and diagnosis.
